The verdict
Shawarma Al Hatab is a very interesting concept built around chicken shawarma cooked over wood.
What impressed us most is that despite being cooked over wood, the chicken doesn't have that unpleasant black or overly charred effect. Instead, it stays incredibly juicy, properly cooked on the inside, and develops a beautiful crispiness on the outside.
The result is a very satisfying shawarma sandwich with excellent flavor, texture, and value for money.
The only downside we noticed was related to the long delivery distance. By the time the sandwiches arrived, the wrapping paper had become quite oily. However, we were ordering from far away, so this is something we believe would be much less noticeable when eating the sandwich closer to the restaurant or directly on the spot.
Overall, it's a very enjoyable concept and a shawarma we would happily try again and again.

“The chicken and Hummus Soujouk were the highlights, but at these prices, value for money held the overall experience back.”

“Magnifico Streetfood is a very good choice for a proper Cheating Friday meal, especially if crispy chicken is what you're after.”

“The grilled chicken was the star — especially with Makhlouf's garlic. The Lebanese Burger didn't land for us this time.”
